C. R. Marine, is now offering free outdrive inspections for boats hauled out at AMS. On the outdrive inspection, C. R. Marine will look for leaking lower units, zincs properly installed or needing replacement, excessive corrosion, cracks in the bellows, corrosive damage to the bellows clamps, proper antifouling paint protection, and any other condition that could damage your outdrives or sink your boat.



Chris Russell says that regular outdrive maintenance is a must and he recommends that, every 6 months, the lower unit oil be changed, the zincs be replaced, and a complete inspection be performed.

To help make this easier, AMS has agreed to make available one of its hoists for boats to “haul and hang” while the outdrives are being serviced. This will save time and money for the customer because AMS will not need to block the boat or charge an environmental fee. This will also allow the boats to go back in the water the same day they are hauled out.
