A good buff and wax is best performed while your boat is out of the water. If you have ever tried to buff and wax your boat in the slip, you know this to be true. Take advantage of our March special and let our skilled craftsman give your boat that professional shine.

We offer a 3M hullside buff and wax process to bring back the luster to your boat. Fiberglass cleaners, polishes and waxes are essential for restoring and maintaining your fiberglass boat.



The Process

Compounding/Finishing:

3M has produced a number of compounds, polishes and polishing pads that will make your boat glisten.

If your hullsides are really faded, we start with either 3M Super Duty Rubbing Compound or 3M Imperial Compound.

These rubbing compounds are great at bringing back color and knocking out that ugly, faded look.

Sometimes only a finishing material boat polish is needed to get a glossy, bright finish, especially on painted surfaces.

All of these products are applied with a polisher and a pad.


Waxing (Gelcoat only. Waxing painted surfaces is not recommended.):

After the boat has been rubbed out and/or polished, we protect your finish with a wax. It is important to seal and protect the finish with a good wax to maintain the gloss.


AMS Dockside Maintenance Program

Keep your boat looking great by signing up for the AMS Dockside Maintenance Program. We will come to your slip on a regular schedule or, at your request, on a specific date and professionally wash your boat..

We use only boat soap that is bio-degradable and is non wax removing to aviod stripping off the wax. Call, email, or come by for details.
